Horse spawns pure white without texture

The screenshots sort of speak for themselves. This white adult horse greeted me immediately after generating the world. I can't replicate it because every time I regenerate the world the adult and infant horse spawn with different textures, but when I reload the saved game it maintains the pure white texture.
