Chat command type bug

OBS I don't know if anyone else gets this bug but i got it repeatedly.

When i was trying to type /kill @e[type=panda] it cleared my current chat message.

(I also got this bug once at the creative inventory search menu)

What I expected to happen was:
I tought I could type /kill @e[type=panda] and kill all pandas in the world (beacause my game was lagging).

What actually happened was:
I typed /kill @e[type=p and when i typed the A it cleared my current chat message.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open the chat
2. Type /kill @e[type=p
3. Press A
