Kicked in multiplayer riding horses

As soon as I right clicked a horse in Multiplayer (tested with creative and survival), it shows me riding a horse for a brief second, then I lose connection with the error: Internal exception: java.lang.NullPointerException
When I try to log back on, the same error shows up.
