Trident disappears after breaking the block it gets stuck with

I launched trident to a wood stair, then the trident, without any enchantment, gets stuck on the block as usual, but when I tried to break the wood stair block, the trident just disappears, not falling to the ground, no any other form of it would show up in the game. Please fix the bug.
