1.13.1 crashes when creating a world

Upon updating to Minecraft 1.13.1 today, I tried to create a new world, but the game crashed while "preparing spawn area". Any attempts to reload this world also resulted in a similar crash.

I've copied and pasted the game output into the attached file.

Edit: finally managed to load a world without a crash. I tried creating another world as a test, and it also crashed upon generation. I don't think I'll be able to create a world without repeated attempts to generate it first.
