Minecraft crosshair changes color in different backgrounds

im creating a pack with a green crosshair and while pointing at different blocks and environments the crosshair changes color. it really bugs me out and i want it to stop. i have also looked into people who use the same color crosshair which doesnt change color and i want to find out how
