Obfuscated text distorts text around it

when the obfuscated text cycles through different letters it will mess with letters around it or flicker periodically it also does not happen every time. I have only observed this on servers MOTD and I'm unsure if this applies elsewhere. I was unable to get a screenshot because when i took a screenshot the text displayed correctly.
