Villagers dissappear after going through a portal.

When I tried to bring villagers to my base through the Nether, most of them disappear. Only 1 out of the 6 villagers I tried to move actually made it to my base. 

all the villagers made it into the Nether, it was later when I tried to bring them back out that they dissappered.

I have checked that I did not just mess up my portals, they work like they should.

Have tried relogging.

EDIT: found them, 100 blocks away from the portal, for some reason they were moved to the wrong place
