Launcher Wont Open

Hello, My Name is everglade_97 and im haveing a BIG issue at the moment. So lets go from the beggining i moved in with my nana 2 weeks ago and got mc on her computer. Her computer is form 2012 and run 8.1 (cant update to windows 10 atm) so i decided to get mc and badlion client. well for a few days minecraft worked fine. Opened fine and everything until a couple days ago. I have checked everywhere and i cant find a solution. Apperantly nobody else has this problem. Please help me asap if you can. I dont get any errors when i click it. I have it in my hotbar and on my desktop. I click it and it stas highlighted. It doesnt open the window for me. When i hover over the icon after its "open" it shows the window but it doesnt do anything.
