Glitched Stone block in trapped Jungle Temple chest

When going through a jungle temple, I found a stone block in the chest that's trapped by dispensers and tripwires. For some reason, I could not shift-click the block into my inventory from the chest, nor could I shift-click it into my hotbar when just looking at my inventory. More surprisingly, when I attempted to place the block, it disappeared. Is there any reason for this phantom Stone block to exist?

I managed to reproduce this by:
1. Spawning a new world on Creative
2. Finding a Jungle Temple in a Jungle Biome
3. Locating the chest in question

I've found that there was a glitched stone block in that chest as well.
