Weird Rain Texture

I've never had to report a bug or weird game glitch, not sure what to even say.  I started a new survival world in 18w30b and was on the first day.  I spent the night in a hole in a mountain and came out to the rain, walked about 100 blocks and the rain just turned into this weird inventory textured sprite.  See attached photo for details.  I closed the world and reloaded it and the rain was the same.  Shut down and restarted Minecraft, loaded the world, and it was fixed.
