Game crashes when attempting to open world

Game crashes when trying to launch a world. It goes through the process of spawning new world, but then pauses on "Dirt" page & game crashes.

Launcher then displays message: "Game Crash - An unexpected error occurred and the game has crashed. We're sorry for the inconvenience."

The above only started occurring after my laptop's battery died & I restarted.
