Full game crash upon opening

upon opening and loading Minecraft 1.13, once past the "MOJANG" loading screen, and into the first frame of the "MINECRAFT" start screen, the game freezes, resulting in a full crash. Assuming it was my computer, I updated my graphics driver, updated Java, restarted my computer, uninstalled and reinstalled Minecraft, deleted the "1.13" file from my Minecraft and reinstalled that specifically, but nothing fixed the issue. I went back to the "1.12" version, no crash. I have reason to believe, now, that it is not my computer but an error in the update.
