Snowballs don't deflect arrows

I noticed some time ago that the Minecraft Wiki says that snowballs can deflect arrows.

However, having now tried to reproduce that, it appears to be broken : I've been unable to deflect any arrow (whether shot by a skeleton or a dispenser. Of course, it's most likely the same with summoned arrows as well).
