[MC-133494] Hard crash when clicking language change icon

This also happened in pre7. Earlier versions right up to pre6 were OK

I suspect it is the same issue as ~~MC-133492~~

In Pre7, it had an extra line in the latest.log which indicated ;

[Client thread/WARN]: Couldn't find glyph for character ? (\ua7b0)

This has been fixed for pre8 but the crash still continues.
