language problem (a lot of gibberish)

so started minecraft on my mac to day after a short hiatus and updated the game to pre 6 and was greeted by strange signs in the menu. so thought there was an other language(i normally use swedish) displayed that my computer could not display but when i went into the language menu there was even more gibberish. so there seams to be a "small" bug here (unless my language files are corrupt for some reason)
