Can't play any of the prereleases

So i can't play on any of the pre-releases. It just give me the message: " Unable to create directory." Then i click show more details and it gives me this: "Error details: The system cannot find the path specified
Filename on disk: .minecraft
Path: C:/Users\user-000-pc\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft
Exists: false"

Been stuck in 1.12 for ages now :/
