Maps' 'far out player' icons make it extremely hard to use explorer maps

Steps to Reproduce

1. Create a map
2. Fly very far away from where you created the map.
   -> See that there is now an icon without a 'pointer', so you can't tell in which direction you're going.

This is unlike Bedrock edition, and makes it nearly impossible to use explorer maps without the debug screen. (Cardinal directions, etc.)
