Water particles from fishing rod do not use biome-dependent color

I am playing in a warm ocean biome and noticed that the water particles that show up while fishing are still the old dark blue color; they do not use the color of the rest of the water in the biome.  This also happens in the swamp, and presumably everywhere else as well.
