Changing languages in the languages menu doesn't have any effect

i have created a resource pack to correct some translations and add another things, the thing is that the language doesn't change, es_mx it says, but i modified some of the texts and nothing.

2nd edit: I tried to add an "Extra" .lang to try to change the language and it changes to english instead of my edited .lang
