Replacing block with falling block creates ghost block

Steps to reproduce:

1. Do this command “/setblock ~ ~10 ~ stone”
2. Stand on top of the block
3. Do this command “/summon falling_block ~ ~-1 ~ {BlockState:{Name:stone}}”

The block will fall down but you will keep being teleported in mid air. When I re-enter the world, the floating block reappears.
