Dogs are highly bugged

I tamed some wolves on a multiplayer server and brought them to my home.

What I expected to happen was...:
I was hoping they would help me fight monsters.

What actually happened was...:
Whenever another player comes to my home, my dogs start growling and won't stop. They won't eat to regain health and sometimes won't sit when I tell them to. So they are useless to me.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tame a wolf/dog and bring it home
2. Have another player come to your home and be noticed by the dogs. That's all.
