Slimes dont spawn

I went to the swampland for slimes (slimeballs) but they doesnt see to spawn. I wait a whole minecraft night on difficulty hard but the didn't spawn. I have did it earlyer in 1.5.1 and then they spawn but not a lot.

Do I something wrong?
