Salmons & Cod are named "salmon_mob" & "cod_mob" in their mob IDs & spawn eggs

Salmons & cod are named "salmon_mob" & "cod_mob" in their mob ID & their spawn egg IDs.

If this was intentional because there are also items for them, wouldn't the pufferfish also be like that?
