Item id nbt not working

when I try to execute a command using the entityselector nbt={Item:{id:"minecraft:*"}} it doesn't work, I tried dropping a cod and ran /say @e[nbt={Item:{id:"minecraft:cod"}}] and it said nothing. This bug is rather easy to test and shouldn't take more than 1 minute to confirm, I hope it can get fixed because it broke my current project.
