Swapping items while riding pigs or striders resets their momentum

The Bug:

Swapping items while riding pigs or striders resets their momentum.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Summon a large tower of blocks by using the command provided below.

   /fill ~1 ~ ~1 ~1 ~24 ~1 minecraft:polished_diorite

2. Summon a pig on top of the tower and equip them with a saddle.
3. Obtain any item of your choice, for example, a block of dirt, and ensure that it's placed in your hotbar.
4. Obtain a carrot on a stick and place it in a hotbar slot next to the dirt.
5. Begin riding the pig while holding the carrot on a stick in your hand.
6. As you and the pig are falling through the air, constantly swap between the dirt and the carrot on a stick in your hotbar.
7. Take note as to whether or not swapping items while riding pigs or striders resets their momentum.

Observed Behavior:

Swapping items while riding pigs or striders resets their momentum.

Expected Behavior:

Swapping items while riding pigs or striders would not reset their momentum.
