When using a Riptide trident in Survival mode, the trident disappears

According to the blog article, you don't throw the trident. That's true – you don't throw it, but it magically disappears into nowhere nonetheless.

To reproduce

1. Get a trident with a Riptide enchantment.
2. Go into water
3. Switch into survival mode
4. Throw the trident
5. It disappears
