Broken textures after switching versions

i have the latest version of minecraft installed. I created a new profile in the launcher for a mod and the version i used was 1.11 then i created a new world to test something out and then closed it. when i switched back to the latest version and logged on to my main world all the textures were broken i tryed switching the resource packs but it changed nothing.
