Things surrounded by bedrock can be destroyed by exploding TNT

I was messing with the /execute command and command block summoning exploding TNT at my location. i had a redstone clock surrounded by bedrock so the TNT wouldn't destroy the clock but when i check back on the clock it was destroyed
