Shipwrecks always face north

What I expected to happen: shipwrecks can face in all 4 directions
What really happened: shipwrecks will always face only north
I got all these screenshots from the seed 3783630358999297964 near 8000 80 8000

(the sunflowers were placed to help show the direction of the ship because they face east)
