Furnaces not being themselves?

I don't know how to really explain it other than when I try to smelt, sometimes it doesn't register. Here's A video: Furnace Bug
It has to do with the shift-clicking function in a furnace. I tested it when i just did it normal click into the slot and it worked how it was supposed to.
