Invalid player move packet recieved with elytra and soul sand underwater

I was messing around with elytra's, and was testing to see if the soulsand effect would launch the player. But when i looked straight up and was in the same verticle block range as the effect, i would be kicked to the multiplayer screen and given the message "Invalid player move packet recieved". I am no longer able to access the world due to it instantly kicking me.
