Automatic rail generator

It seems that this kind of machine made out of redstone and slimeblock and piston automatically creates infinite rails. I don't actually understand how this works, the only things I know is that for this to work, the structure of slimeblock has to make some kind of U, and there has to be a minecart over the rails.
