Singleplayer world crashes when in an ocean biome

When I go to an ocean biome, my game lags to the point where it crashes. This happens on both of my computers, one being a desktop and the other being the brand new mackbook. This might be on my end, but this happens regardless of what I do, be it restart, log out, or anything.
