Creeper get highlighted when the trident is thrown

Just as the gif shows, when I throw out my trident in creative mode towards the creepers, they get highlighted, which looks like they are going to explode but in fact they are just highlighted for a moment.
It doesn't occur very much, and only in some special angles and distances can you see this.
