Blue Survival inventory

When I'm in Creative mode, whether on multiplayer or singleplayer, my survival inventory turns blue. I've tried restarting and poking around in the settings, but I'm not sure what it is. I do not have a screenshot at the moment, but after I get home, I'll go grab one.
