/data won't work with more than one entity and selectors keep adding , or ] with each tab press

For some reason i can't make the data command modify all armor stands instead it tells me the "Only one entity is allowed, but the provided selector allows more than one at position 0:

Also if i try to use any selectors in a command like @e[type=Zombie] the auto complete tab will keep telling me to add (,) or (]) to the command infinitely this makes it so i can't use the tab auto complete after i finish writing the selector and attemping to up arrow through previous commands also fails.
