Swapping Magma blocks and soul sand keeps old bubble direction

Make a build like the one in the screenshots, and use a redstone block to power the pistons. The blocks move, but the bubbles remain pulling down or pushing up (whichever was placed under the water first).

I discovered this bug whilst attempting to build a lava lamp, alternating between each block to adjust the flow of items between up or down.
