Turtle and debarking subtitles don't work

When turtles make a sound or a player debarks a log there are no subtitles shown, even though they exist in the language files.

To reproduce: Turn subtitles on in the options. Then place a log and right click it with an axe or spawn a turtle and hit it. There will be a sound, but no subtitle.
