double wide gates

Currently gates are only a single block wide. It is difficult to get livestock to fit through the gate (e.g. cows, pigs), and impossible for horses. A double wide gate would be made by placing two gates side-by-side. The gate should reshape to appear as a double wide variant. One should still need to open each side independently but, when open, there should not be a pillar between the two gates. This would allow horses to pass and would make passing large livestock through.
