Disappearing Leaves

First, I was not able to reproduce this bug

Spawned in a world, found some trees, had to go. Came back, trees in a radius of ~30-40 blocks hat no leaves. It's not a graphic bug tho, there were no blocks and saplings and items lay on the ground
