Inventory Disappear

I was just walking about my box village when all the items in my inventory would flash on and off, leaving white spaces where the items were. The tools still had the usage line left, but the actual item itself was gone. I had to completely exit out and restart in order to fix it. I tried just going to the main menu and going back in, but the issue was persistent.
