Can't shift click items and can't click items in menus to get them, i have to drag them

I can't shift click or click items in menus i have to drag them, which makes this IMPOSSIBLE
for playing fast paced games on server for example skywars or bedwars.

all versions are affected but I put 1.12.2 because it was the only option
