I can't even play minecraft anymore

I have this problem where when every I tried to play minecraft java edition. here's how it goes. I opened the launcher, press play, the game opens up like normal, the mojang logo shows up, then the game crashes. I thought to myself: maybe it's because I'm using optifine. so I try playing minecraft but using my vanilla profile and the same thing happens again. I tried opening the minecraft setup and repairing the launcher but nothing seems to be working.
