NullPointerException on empty TextComponent

The Bug

When use an empty TextComponent ( [] ), it says java.lang.NullPointerException in the chat.

How to reproduce:

/tellraw @s []

or

/title @s title []

But for signs, it works as expected:

/setblock ~ ~ ~ sign{Text1:"{\"text\":\"\",\"extra\":[]}"}
