Minecraft Launcher doesn't start the game

So I've been trying since 12/28/17 to play my java minecraft. But for some reason, though the launcher works fine, once the game screen pops up. all that I see is the Mojang logo. And when I click on the screen, it doesn't respond. I've waited on different wait times, usually ranging from 5-10 minutes before I click out. When I do, these pop up:
