Ctrl+Click Not working on Mac.

For Mac laptops, I prefer to use the keyboard combination ctrl+click. This is equivalent to the right click. Minecraft 1.13 snapshots seem to not recognize ctrl+click to be the same as right click. I have right click set as my place block/use item. It is very annoying because I cannot place blocks or use items.
