V-sync automatically turned off each time the game starts

V-sync always gets automatically turned off every time the game starts and players would have to turn it back on manually. However, even though it has been turned off, it still shows it is on but the screen flickers a lot. This bug is particularly annoying to players who have old monitors without video card sync.
