Shift clicking Destroy Item doesn't work

When shift clicking the Destroy Item icon in the creative inventory in the survival inventory section, what it is supposed to do is to delete all items in your inventory. However, in the latest snapshot (17w47a) (which by the way is missing from the affected versions dropdown list) it doesn't do that.
