Weird instant damage bug

When you give yourself instant damage lvl 128 or higher, it doesn't damage you, but taking damage can instantly kill you.

To do glitch: Give yourself instant damage 128 or higher for permanent duration with the /effect command, then get hit by something. You will instantly die, even if at full health
